We have travelled to Aizuwakamatsu in Fukushima-ken and Kinugawa in Tochigi-ken,
one day for each place(Aug, 10th~12th).
Our main purpose was to reflesh and escape from daily busy life, and we
did fulfill this purpose! We enjoyed the hot springs and Japanese dishes,
especially the Nihachi soba with Tempura on it.
We also visited Pastor Muto and his wife in Fukushima on the way to Aizuwakamatsu,
and shared many things about faith. They had been served for Tenryu Evangelical Christ Church for more than 10 years, and God used them so much for Kasumi's family
to be saved through Jesus Christ. Kasumi's grand mother, Tome was able
to get baptized before her passing at the age of 96, which was so amazing
miracle. There were continuous prayers of pastor Muto and his wife for
her salvation behind the scene.
Also, Aizuwakamatsu is the home town of Jiro's mother, Setsuko.
This was the first time to visit this city but very nice place with beautiful
scenery and Japanese culture.
Small group fellowship is what we have been considering as very important
source for church growth. We have been continuing our small group "Safuran"
monthly with some church members. On Aug, 14th, we have done a BBQ with
the members. We played a lot of games, ate a lot, chatted a lot...!!! It is such
a blessing for us to be able to pray for them.

On Aug, 15th, we visited Jiro's mother Setsuko and had a Italian lunch at Tama Plaza together. We had a great time with her talking about what has been up to her and us. What she likes the most is to have a fellowship in Christ, talking how our God is great and always loves us. This time, we found out a amazing truth that Jiro's father Kaisuke's mother was a christian! It seems that there was a pastor in Kaisuke's brothers, and he helped her salvation before her passing. It was so exciting to know how our family was blessed with gospel of Christ.
